I have recently quilted and returned to Morag her modern Crosses Quilt. From Morag's emails to me she sounds like she was thrilled with the results and I must say I was very excited also.
Morag's quilt is a spray of crosses in solid coloured fabrics across a white background with white borders of varying widths. For the quilting we combined swirling traditional feathers with modern straight lines for the crosses and continuous curves for the background.
I think the combination of traditional and modern quilting works beautifully on this quilt.
I love the way the feathers swirl from the borders into the body of the quilt to wind in amongst the crosses.
I hope you have enjoyed Morag's wonderful quilt. Morag, I am sure it will look beautiful hanging in your new house.
A wonderful marriage of traditional and modern.
