Maze and Vale Handprinted Quilt

I have recently finished quilting a quilt for Leslie from Maze and Vale.  Leslie designs and hand prints her own fabrics which were used to make this beautiful, organic quilt for one of her clients.

To tie in with the muted tones, natural fibres and organic feel of the quilt, it was quilted simply with "straight wavy lines".  Even though I have quilted these before for Kate some time ago on her Ballerina Quilt, I still struggled with the concept of wavy lines due to my usual need for perfection.  I do love the end result though!

For more of Leslie's divine handprinted fabrics and other handmade goodies, check out her blog and website at Maze and Vale.

  1. I love it, I haven't yet done this type of quilting, but I plan to on a couple customer modern quilts. It is just perfect for this type of quilt. Thanks for sharing.

  2. I love the way this is quilted, going to try this soon, Did you use your channel lock or just free hand?

  3. Beautiful! I love Leslie's work - and your quilt is perfect for this quilt. x

  4. You can have wavy and still be perfect! This is gorgeous.

I really appreciate your comments - they will appear shortly.
